northcabin was a temporary commissioning programme, which took place in a disused operating cabin on Redcliffe Bridge, Bristol. northcabin commissioned emerging artists to produce unique and ambitious artworks for the public realm. The programme ran from May 2008 until January 2010.
northcabin receives no revenue funding and must raise all of its finance through active fundraising. nortcabin would like to thank the following organisations who have financially supported the programme Arts Council South West, Bristol City Council, Spike Island Associate Scheme, The University of the West of England, Situations and Alias.
Continued thanks is given to Xited who produced all the design work, Bristol City Council who have kindly given access to the cabin on Redcliffe Bridge and The Hole in the Wall who have pledged their support to the launch nights for the coming commissions. These organisations have all offered their services as support in kind.
